August has done such a crazy amount of growing and learning this last month, that it's kind of blown Tyler and I away. He had been trying to get himself crawling for around six weeks, when finally, this month, he did! It was about two weeks ago, now, and it was actually the same day I first noticed that he could pull himself into a sitting position. I watched him do that at about 8 that morning. I praised him, and called Tyler, and wrote it down to remember the date... and then around 9 that same morning he made his first move to crawl! He was after Sadie's dirty, disgusting chew toy, (a tennis ball). But hey, he did it! I really could hardly believe it. He has not stopped moving or exploring since. Then, he hadn't even been crawling two weeks, when last week he started pulling himself up on everything! - the sofa, the tv cabinet, chairs, etc. It's crazy!
It's true what they say - the second one grows up faster. I am making my prediction that he walks by his first birthday. I guess it's just that he watches his brother constantly moving, climbing and doing things, and he wants to follow right after him! Anyway, we are going to have some serious baby-proofing to do this weekend. Fireplace, cabinets, outlets, etc are all looking a bit more dangerous than normal right about now.

Likes: strawberries, exploring like crazy, crawling, pulling up on everything, all the great "new" toys that were brother's that Mom keeps pulling out of storage, Gerber's stage 3 foods(!!!), and arrowroot cookies.
Dislikes: nap time, when the dog licks his face, being confined to a carseat/stroller/high chair/playpen. Gotta move, gotta move, gotta move!

You and Tyler make some handsome boys! August has grown so much, congrats!!!

DeleteAnd I LOVED Germany and Austria when I went, but I was there so briefly, (just a couple days)! I really hope to get to go back one day and explore all around both countries!
