Life List

These are not in any order, at all, and I see this list as a work in progress. I have no actual deadline for this list, other than, obviously, hoping to do each of these things before I die. I want to do these things over my lifetime... however long that may be.

Update 2/24: I've added, re-evaluated, edited, and combined a few of my goals as of today.
  1. Have a beautiful wedding to the love of my life. (May 10th, 2008) 
  2. Go skydiving.
  3. Go scuba diving.
  4. Write a book.
  5. Write a screenplay.
  6. Own a yellow labrador. (Love my Sadie girl.) 
  7. Own a chocolate labrador.
  8. Own a beagle.
  9. Take in and train a puppy as a seeing eye dog.
  10. Buy and restore a '65 Ford Mustang.
  11. Help husband with restoration and/or customization of a Jeep Wrangler, (any year model).
  12. Vacation in Germany/Austria. (June 2005) 
  13. Vacation in Switzerland. (June 2005) 
  14. Vacation in Italy. (June 2005) 
  15. Vacation in France. (June 2005) 
  16. Vacation in England. (July 2005) 
  17. Revisit/vacation in France with mama.
  18. Revisit/vacation in all of the aforementioned (#12 - 16) with husband. 
  19. Vacation in Prague with husband.
  20. Vacation in Greece.
  21. Vacation in Ireland.
  22. Vacation in Australia.
  23. Vacation to Disneyland as family.
  24. Vacation to Disney World as family.
  25. Trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
  26. See a Centre Court match at Wimbledon.
  27. Shop at the Portobello Road Market.
  28. See the Tour de France in person.
  29. Stay at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
  30. Dye hair red. (October 2010, October 2012) 
  31. Dye hair black.
  32. Dye hair brown. (December 2010) 
  33. Go to the Texas State Fair. (Been twice! October 2009, October 2010) 
  34. Coachellea.
  35. Lollapolooza.
  36. Bonaroo.
  37. Austin City Limits. (September 2006) 
  38. Finish my degree. In anything, just finish it. * (In the works, started back to school 8/2012.)
  39. Learn my Mom's infamous recipe for margaritas. (April 2012. Damn, that was easy.)
  40. Learn to speak Spanish fluently. *(This has pretty much been "in progress" since my first Spanish class in the 6th grade... 14 years ago.)
  41. Learn to speak basic, conversational French.
  42. Learn to use Adobe Illustrator.
  43. Learn to use Adobe Photoshop. *
  44. Take a pottery class.
  45. Take more photography classes.
  46. Grow a vegetable garden.
  47. Begin composting.
  48. Make a weekly menu/meal plan; stick with it for at least 1 month. (February 2013)
  49. Grow a lemon tree.
  50. Grow an apricot tree
  51. Learn and make Grams's recipe for apricot jam.
  52. Cook and learn 3 Julia Child recipes. (2010, Beouf Bourguigon, Brown Braised Pearl Onions, & Le Glorieux, among others.) 
  53. Learn to jumpstart a car.
  54. Take a kickboxing class.
  55. See Ryan Adams live in concert.
  56. Eat at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
  57. Get a second [more meaningful] tattoo. (August 2012 - i carry your heart wrist tat) 
  58. Make homemade ice cream.
  59. Throw my parents an anniversary party.
  60. Renew our wedding vows.
  61. Make scrapbooks for my kids through at least age 2. *
  62. Renovate and make a home for our family.
  63. Play tennis regularly again; join a local league.
  64. Read all six of Jane Austen's novels. *(Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion)
  65. Read all of Shakespeare's works. *(Romeo & Juliet... hey, it's a start.)
  66. Make a t-shirt blanket of our old high school and college tshirts. *
  67. Take a wine tasting class with husband.
  68. Go to a scenic spot to watch the sun rise with husband.
  69. Play with baby tigers and/or lions for a day.
  70. Ride on the back of an elephant.
  71. Take a hot air balloon ride.
  72. Take swing dance lessons.
  73. Start throwing an annual party/event.
  74. Learn Aunt Andy's two-fingered whistle.
  75. Have two children or more. (Parker - 10/2008, August - 8/2011)
  76. Donate 10 or more inches of hair to Locks of Love. (May 2007) 
  77. Go vegetarian for one month, to see how it makes me feel. * (Attempted May 2012 - made it 17 days! Going to try again soon!)
  78. Eliminate processed sugar for one month. (January & February 2012) 
  79. Learn printmaking.
  80. Try 7 new, non-chain restaurants in one year. ✓ (In 2012: Mason/MyleCrust, Cafe Italia, Tabla, L&J's Cafe, Star City, & Pelican's.)
  81. Go ice skating in Central Park at Christmastime.
  82. Save at least 3 months worth of income, and put it in a savings account.
  83. Learn and be able to identify 20 constellations.
  84. Take a picture of Tyler and I at least once a month, for at least one year.
  85. Have a date night at least once a month, for at least one year.
  86. Send a care package to a soldier.
  87. Take newborn photos of our babies ourselves. (Both at 9 days old.) 
  88. Take an old-timey, dressed up western photo with a large group of friends. (example)
  89. Write a "if anything ever happens to me" letter to my kids, husband, parents.
  90. Plant a time capsule with my kids.
  91. Open a etsy shop of finds, curiosities and handmade items. (Officially opened August 5th, 2012.) 
  92. Identify and make a list of 100 things that make me happy. *
  93. Open a savings account and put $25 in it for each of these items completed. (Opened in January 2012.) 
  94. Run in a 5K. (February 24th, 2012 - El Paso Marathon, Half & 5K
  95. Run in the Color Run or the Glow Run, (or similar race).
